(Show more)In the field of media studies, the role of locations as vehicles for promotion and attraction of territories has increasingly grown during the last decades. Due to the pandemic of Covid-19, a specific interest has regarded green and natural places, also in a redefined touristic perspective. Rural places are widely represented by media products, in particular television and audiovisual content. In this speech I'll try to define role and identity of "rural television" in the context of Italian television system, providing an overview of the role of gree, sustainability and environmentale resources in the history of Italian television and highlighting how broadcasters and platforms are following this topic in their recent productions.
