Pre-conference Seminars 16.00-18.00

Just like the previous conference two seminars for first-timers (and other interested participants)   on Publishing and on How does the conference work (presenting, networking, chairing, etc.:  in short an ESSHC Survival Guide)  Participants that have registered for the seminars will be contacted by e-mail with information on where and when.


Thursday April 5

General Meeting & Reception

All participants are invited to attend the

General Meeting, 19.00 - 20.15 at the

Assembly Buildings, Fisherwick Place ( Main entrance at College Square E)

with a brief report on the ESSHC, the presentation of the Jan Lucassen Award and a very special "must see and hear" guest speaker. 

The Assembly Buildings are a  short(ish) walk from the University of about 20 minutes. For those of you who are unable to walk a shuttle bus service will be provided. There are also several busses for example  8B Translink  going  from the University to the city centre. (stop: Great Northern Mall and then it is just 3 minutes down the road.)


Reception, 20.30 - 22.00 at

City Hall, Donegall Square (3-5 minute walk from the Assembly Buildings)

After the general meeting there is a reception at City Hall  with drinks and snacks. Limited places available. Have you signed up? Please collect your invitation at the conference desk to bring with you.

If you did not sign up or were too late, around City Hall and the Assembly Buildings are many nice restaurants, bars and pubs for you to go after the General Meeting.  Be sure to have a pint in the Crown Liquor Saloon in Great Victoria Street.
